Synvoial Disease
The synovium is the lining of the joint and produces the fluid that helps lubricate the joint. Certain disease processes can occur in which the synovium can cause pain in the hip. Like other
diseases that affect the hip joint the pain is often located in the groin, but occasionally can be located in the buttock or thigh.
